    • Position and Balance for climbing and descending
    • Cornering - introduction
    • Terrain Awareness:  trail scanning, line choice, manoeuvring over/around obstacles
    • Basic trailside maintenance:  Basic shifting and brake adjustment, flats, suggested repair kits
    Skill Level:  1 Green – Beginner with little or no experience Fitness Level:  1 - 2 What is my skill and fitness level?

  • Rocky Mountain Ride Guides is super excited to be offering two 5-day kids camp this summer! The July camp takes place from July 7 -11, 2025 out of the Hinton Bike Park and the August camp will be August 25-29.  For both camps, the younger rippers (6-9 years old) will ride in the morning (9 am - noon) and the older riders (10- 15 years old) will rip in the afternoon (1 - 4 pm).
  • Participants should bring their own bike.  Ideally, participants will bring their tools that would normally be with them on a ride.  A variety of multi-tools and tire levers will be available for use for those who don’t have them. The clinic covers the following trail troubles:

    1. Flats and tire troubles

    2. Broken / damaged chain repair

    3. Bent rotor

    4. Bent derailleur hanger / bent derailleur

    5. Broken derailleur

    6. Bike First Aid kit
