This is the perfect mountain bike lesson for a tune-up course if you’re just starting to enjoy the local trails on your mountain bike or you want to focus on establishing a strong base for your skills in order to progress to the next level of fun!

The first part of each session is about 45 minutes of instruction with some focused practice.  The second part of each session will involve continued practice out on the trails doing what we love to do…riding and applying our new skills (about 75 minutes)!

Fundamentals of Mountain Biking

Join us for 3, 2-hour sessions OR a Full-day session – your choice.

  • Safety and trail etiquette
  • Shifting, braking and speed control
  • Position and Balance for climbing and descending
  • Cornering – introduction
  • Terrain Awareness:  trail scanning, line choice, manoeuvring over/around obstacles
  • Basic trailside maintenance:  Basic shifting and brake adjustment, flats, suggested repair kits

Skill Level:  1 Green – Beginner with little or no experience

Fitness Level:  1 – 2
